Hospitalized with Chest Pains

Carlos Tevez, the former Argentina international, has announced his retirement from football at the age of 40. The former Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham striker was hospitalized with chest pains last week but has since been released. “I want to announce that I am retiring from football,” Tevez said in a statement. “It was a difficult decision, but I believe it is the right time for me to stop playing.” Tevez, who was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, began his career with Boca Juniors in 2001. He moved to Manchester United in 2007 and spent two seasons at Old Trafford, winning the Premier League title in 2008 and 2009. In 2009, Tevez moved to Manchester City, where he spent four seasons. He won the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League title in 2012. Tevez left Manchester City in 2013 and moved to Juventus. He spent two seasons in Turin, winning the Serie A title in 2014 and 2015. In 2015, Tevez returned to Boca Juniors, where he spent the rest of his career. He won the Copa Libertadores in 2018 and the Argentine Primera División title in 2019. Tevez made 76 appearances for the Argentina national team and scored 13 goals. He represented his country at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.
