Leah Remini and Angelo Pagán Announce They Are Filing for Divorce After 21 Years of Marriage: 'What's Best for Us'
Friends and family reportedly saw the split coming
Leah Remini has announced she and her husband of 21 years, Angelo Pagán, are getting a divorce.
Remini, 52, and Pagán, 53, share a 19-year-old daughter, Sofia Bella.
The couple said in a joint statement to PEOPLE magazine that the decision was made after "much consideration."
The couple says their decision is what's "best" for them
"While we have made this difficult decision, we are filled with love and respect for one another," the statement reads.
"We are incredibly grateful for the love we've shared over the last 21 years and will continue to support each other's journey moving forward."
They also asked for privacy during this "difficult time."

Sources close to the couple told TMZ that friends and family reportedly saw the split coming.
The couple has been open about their relationship struggles in the past.
In her 2015 memoir, "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology," Remini revealed that she and Pagán had a "rocky" start to their marriage.
She also said that they had been to couples therapy.
It is unclear what led to the couple's decision to divorce.
