Export PNG Sequences: Preserve Symbol Names in Animate

Introduction

Animate provides a convenient way to export animations as PNG sequences, preserving the names of symbols from the library. This feature simplifies the process of creating spritesheets and animating objects within your projects.

Steps to Export PNG Sequence

1. Select the Symbol

In the Library or Stage, right-click on the desired movie clip, button, or graphic symbol and select "Export PNG Sequence."

2. Export the Animation (For Main Timeline)

If your animation is in the main timeline, go to "File" > "Export" > "Export Movie." Ensure that your timeline extends beyond one frame.

3. Export Single Instance (If in Main Timeline)

If your layers are in the main timeline, right-click the instance and select "Export PNG Sequence."

4. Additional Notes

- The exported PNG sequence will include a sequential number added by Animate.
- To export multiple frames, your timeline must contain more than one frame.
